Corinth Elementary School recently hosted Family Literacy events to provide parents and community members an inside look at students' daily learning activities. Family Literacy events are an opportunity for parents, along with their children, and community members to see in depth the classroom activities led by CES teachers. Participants see how reading is taught at CES; how eMerge technology, including iPads and MacBook Airs, is being used to enhance learning; and how students work cooperatively to build critical thinking and communication skills. The 3rd grade Family Literacy event was held during the first semester, and the PreK-1st grade Family Literacy event took place on January 13. The 2nd and 4th grade Family Literacy night was held January 27. The night began with a general session followed by teacher-led activities in classrooms and a question-and-answer session with school administrators.
