Jamie Counce's kindergarten students at CES recently had the opportunity to mold pottery with Jamie Jones, owner of "All Fired Up" pottery shop in downtown Corinth.  Ms. Jones' son Cooper, a student in Ms. Counce's class, was excited to have his mother share her talent with his classmates.  Since the class was completing a unit on Mississippi, Ms. Jones and her co-worker Katie Briggs helped the students design their own clay pieces in the shape of Mississippi.  Ms. Jones taught the students about how the clay is dried, glazed, and fired to make beautiful works of art.  The students were excited to hear that after their Mississippi pieces dry, they will have the opportunity to glaze their artwork before Ms. Jones fires it to complete the process.
