On Monday, December 1, Brianna Scobey, daughter of Tim and Terry Scobey, signed her Letter of Intent to join the women's soccer team at East Central Community College in the fall of 2015.  Brianna had multiple offers from many other schools beginning to show interest in her soccer performance, but in the end, she was most impressed by the ECCC head women's soccer coach, Gray Massey.

"I just knew when I met him that he was a good soccer coach.  He really impressed me when he showed me his notebook of every practice session that he's ever ran, as a high school coach and college coach.  That organization proves he's a good coach," said Brianna.

Corinth High School head girls' soccer coach, Cameron Glenn, expressed his support of Brianna's decision to sign with ECCC:  "As a high school coach, you want to see your players go on and succeed.  It's great to see them take those opportunities to extend their playing careers, but when you know that they are going to go play for the type of person that Gray Massey is, you feel even better about the situation.  Brianna really has a good opportunity to continue to become a better player each day, but more importantly, continue to work on becoming a better person each day.  To me, that's what is most important.  Everyone at Corinth High School is very proud of Briana and we wish her nothing but the best of luck down the road.  She is an example for our program, and we are blessed to have her what little time we have left."

According to Coach Glenn, Brianna has 5 goals and 3 assists so far in the young 2014-2015 season, and he predicts that those numbers will "skyrocket as we start to get into the bulk of our season now."

Congratulations to Brianna Scobey for her outstanding accomplishments both on and off the soccer field!
