Seventy-eight CHS sophomores participated in a practice PSAT (PSSS) on Saturday, December 6th. The National Center on Education and Economy (NCEE) sponsored the testing session. NCEE collaborates with a consortium of schools in Arizona, Kentucky, and Mississippi to ensure that students are meeting college standards. Students who met the college benchmark on the exam in any of the three component areas (critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills) were eligible to win one of 25 iPod Touch devices. The more benchmarks the students met, the more chances they had in the random drawing process. CHS had four winners to receive an iPod Touch: Jalen Cobbs, Richard Robinson, Brooklyn Isbell, and Keyera Moore.
