November Student of the Month: Pierce Langley
Pierce Langley, The son of Brian and Donna Langley, is the Rotary Student of the Month of the Month for November for the Corinth High School District.
In the area of academics, Pierce is ranked fifth in his class of 140 with a GPA of 4.21 and an ACT score of 30. He is working toward his AICE diploma which he is on track to achieve within the school year. He has been on the principal’s honor roll every year of high school. He has been named to the Corinth High School Hall of Fame and is working toward having 18 college hours before graduation in May.
Pierce has been on the Corinth High School Baseball Team for four years, lettering three of those years. He has also participated in the Mayor’s Youth Council and Junior Leadership Alcorn County. He has also participated in National Honor Society, the Academic Team, Science Club, Pep Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club, Interact Club, Historical Society, Foreign Language Club, FCA, Environmental Club, and Drama Club.
Within the community, Pierce has volunteered in the Rotary food basket packing and distribution for six years. He has also volunteered at the Coke Race, the Rotary Race, and numerous school events. He has also worked for Pittman Construction for two years. This experience has helped him to make him a well-rounded person.
Pierce has been accepted into the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University. He is still undecided on his major and which school he will attend.
