Congratulations to Baylee Howard: October Rotary Student of the Month back button

Baylee Hope Howard, the daughter of Eddie and Nicole Howard, has been selected as the Corinth Rotary Student of the Month for October for the Corinth School District. She is the granddaughter of June Howard of Corinth, Pat Jordan of Counce,TN and Jimmy Whitehurst of Hornsby. TN. 

Baylee is currently ranked 2nd in her class of 129 with a 4.38 GPA. She has a 35 composite score on the ACT and perfect 36 sub-scores in three areas: Math 36, English 36, and Reading 36. 
 
Last Fall Baylee was presented the Best in the Country Award from Cambridge International for being the nation's top scorer in Pure Math. She was also awarded a medallion to represent College and Career readiness  in all subjects tested by the Cambridge Secondary Curriculum. She represented CHS at the District of Innovation Conference at Mississippi State and presented her Cambridge experience to a panel of educators. Baylee has completed all requirements to receive the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diploma. 
Baylee is a four year member of the Corinth High School Academic Team and has competed in many academic competitions. She was the overall 1st place winner in Advanced Math at the Blue Mountain College Math and Science Tournament. Her team also received 1st place. She was in the top 10% in math at Mississippi College's High School Math and Science Tournament and NEMCC 's High School Math Competition. 
Baylee has won many subject awards at Corinth High School. Some being 1st place AP Calculus, 1st place Theater, 1st place US History, 1st Place Global Perspectives, 1st Place AICE Art and was presented the Woodman of the World Award for the best US History Student. She has also been recognized for all A's on the Principal's Honor Roll. 
Active at CHS, she has served as Student Body Vice President and secretary of the 
"C " Club.  An athlete, she has been a Varsity Cheerleader for four years and is currently serving as a Senior Captain. She is a four year Diamond Girl for the baseball team. Baylee is an inaugural  member of the CHS 30 plus club. She has played the piano for the CHS Beauty Revue for three years and studied classical piano all through school.  A Thespian, she has participated in every school musical and every competition play. She represented Mu Alpha Theta as sweetheart in CHS Homecoming. She is active in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, 30 Plus Club. Key Club, Interact, Art Club, Pep Club, Environmental Club, Science Club, Thespian Society, "C" Club and Historical Society. 
Very active in the CHS Art Department, Baylee completed a year long portfolio for AICE Art. She also received 2nd place in the State for her award winning artwork entry entitled Biomedical Engineering presented by College Savings of Mississippi and she was awarded a college scholarship. 
Active in the community, she is a graduate of 
Junior Leadership Alcorn and a member of the Mayor's Youth Council. She has completed over 90 hours of community service. Baylee has also put in numerous hours of math and ACT tutoring for students throughout the community. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Corinth. 
Three words to describe Baylee are innovator, intellect, and creative...she plans to use these God given talents to pursue a degree in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering with a minor in  mathematics and obtain a Doctorate  of Medicine  to become a Pediatrician.
