CHS Students Recognized at Cambridge Award Ceremony

One hundred and seventy eight students from the Corinth School District received prestigious awards during the Cambridge ceremony at the Corinth High School (CHS). 

Sixteen seniors received Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diplomas from Cambridge Assessment International Education, part of the University of Cambridge. To receive this diploma, these students earned at least seven credits in advanced AS and A level Cambridge classes across four disciplines (math/science, language, global perspectives and humanities).

The Mississippi Department of Education has three endorsements available to high school seniors: distinguished; academic; and career and technical. Sixty seniors earned an MDE endorsement. 

For the distinguished endorsement, students must earn a 3.0 GPA, ACT subscore of 22 in Math and 18 in English and complete at least one of the following: AICE course with a final grade of B or higher or take the appropriate exam or a dual credit course with a final grade of B or higher. For the academic endorsement, students must earn a 2.5 GPA, ACT subscore of 19 in Math and 17 in English and complete at least one of the following: AICE course with a final grade of C or higher or take the appropriate exam or a dual credit course with a final grade of C or higher. For the career and technical endorsement, students must earn a 2.5 GPA, complete a two-year CTE program, earn a silver in Workkeys, and complete at least one of the following: AICE course, dual credit course, work-based learning or earn a state board of education-approved national credential.

The Cambridge International AS Level Scholar awards are given to students who have earned high marks on AICE exams during a single exam series (June 2025). For the scholar award, a student has earned C grades or higher on three AICE exams. For the scholar merit award, a student has earned B grades or higher on three AICE exams.
