The Corinth School District honors three teachers for their annual Teacher of the Year awards: Christy Miller (Corinth Elementary School), John Hall Morgan (Corinth Middle School) and Paige Frame (Corinth High School). The Corinth Rotary recently honored Ms. Miller and Mrs. Frame at a Rotary meeting.

Ms. Christy Miller, a second-grade teacher at Corinth Elementary School, has been a teacher for 26 years. She was a teacher at Ashland Elementary for 14 years teaching 4th and 5th grade. She has been at Corinth Elementary School for 12 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. “I am currently teaching 2nd grade and it is my favorite,” said Ms. Miller. “I love how the kids are so happy to be at school and to learn new things. They have questions about everything. That keeps me learning new things along with them.”

Her personal and professional goals are to keep learning every day. “Learning should be fun and if I can make it fun, then the kids will want to be here,” said Ms. Miller. “God put us here to show his love and I try to do that with everyone I meet. I hope that everyone will look at my class and myself and see that we love to learn, love to help each other, and never give up.”

“Ms. Christy Miller is a great teacher who touches the hearts of every student she teaches daily,” said Chris Butler, principal of Corinth Elementary School. “When you walk into Ms. Miller's room, the adventure begins and the students love it.”

Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the Mississippi University for Women.

Mr. John Hall Morgan, a math teacher at Corinth Middle School, has been a teacher for the past 11 years. “I am very thankful and humbled to be recognized by my peers as this year’s Teacher of the Year,” said Morgan. “My goal for all my students is for them to leave my class as better mathematicians and people for our community. I am very honored and excited for a bright future here in Corinth.”

Mr. Morgan has taught at Corinth Middle School for four years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in professional meteorology and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University. He has previously held jobs in West Point and Southaven.

“Mr. Morgan is a wonderful teacher and coworker at Corinth Middle School,” said Chris Killough, principal at Corinth Middle School. “He builds relationships with students and strives to give students what they need to be successful. As a coworker, Mr. Morgan also helps above and beyond the classroom, pitching in anywhere to help the school and his peers. Earlier this year, Mr. Morgan was also selected by fellow teachers as a Teacher of Excellence. That selection and his selection as Teacher of the Year clearly indicates his impacts and gifts shown at Corinth Middle School.”

Mrs. Paige Frame, a math teacher at Corinth High School, has been a teacher for three years. “It is truly an honor to be named Teacher of the Year at Corinth High School,” said Mrs. Frame. “I’m fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented and committed educators I’ve ever known. Their support and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping my journey, especially during my first few years in the classroom.”

Mrs. Frame says becoming a teacher has been the most rewarding experience of her career.
“There’s something incredibly special about seeing a student’s eyes light up when they finally understand a difficult math concept, or watching their confidence grow as they begin responding in French,” said Mrs. Frame. “Those are the moments that make all the hard work worthwhile.”

Her students praise Mrs. Frame on her dedication. “What I appreciate most about Mrs. Frame is her deep commitment to our success,” said sophomore Annie Stanley. “Her dedication is apparent in how she patiently teaches and reteaches concepts until we grasp them fully. It's clear that everything she does is intended to ensure that we're not just prepared for exams, but that we also truly understand the material.”

Mrs. Frame holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Samford University. Before entering the classroom, she worked at Little’s Jewelers, Franklin Cruise and Tech Soup.

The Corinth School District is grateful for all of their teachers and staff who help students succeed every day. A big congratulations to all three of our Teachers of the Year!
