Last year, the middle school Lady Warrior 7th and 8th grade teams won the Alcorn County Championship. The 8th grade team advanced to the Five County Championship Tournament at NEMCC. The Lady Warriors are playing a competitive schedule this season and are looking to continue their successes from last year.
The Lady Warriors are coached by Seth Kennedy who is in his third year as head coach. Coach Kennedy is assisted by Coach Daniel Rodgers. The Lady Warriors use their athleticism to keep pressure on opposing teams defensively. “This year’s 7th grade team is as deep off the bench as any we have had over the past 3 years,” said Coach Kennedy. “As for the 8th grade team, they have a ton of talent blended with athleticism. They are consistently getting better and are buying our system. I look for them both to continue to improve and put themselves in position to contend with whoever they step on the court with.”
“We have a lot of athletic girls who are steadily growing both on the court and in the classroom,” said Coach Kennedy. “Our primary goal is to prepare these girls for the next level and put them in a position to succeed at whatever they do.”
Come out and support the Lady Warriors this season!
