The 2021-22 bowling season was one of the most successful seasons in its 8-year history. The girls bowling team was the Class II North Regional Champions, and they finished in 3rd place in the State Championship. Neshoba Central narrowly beat them for a chance at the state title at the last minute. The boys bowling team was the Class II North Regional Runner-Up, advancing to the State Championship Tournament. They finished 6th in the state for the Class II division, which is primarily 4A and 5A schools. Both teams should be very proud of their seasons.
This year’s team has an impressive number of seniors on the roster. The seniors on the boys team include Will Harvell, Jake Harvell, Jake Brawner, Brawner Cregeen, John Neal Welch, Blake Briggs, Jack Gibson, Ethan Huff and Tret King. The seniors on the girls team include Pierce Peterson, Nealy Welch, Allison Wigginton, Maggie Green, Macy Ivy and Graceson Martin.
“I believe the 2022-23 CHS Bowling team is going to be our best season yet,” said Head Coach Kelly Hendrix. “With 15 seniors between the two teams leading the way, I have no doubt that Corinth has what it takes to bring home a state championship this year. We have the experience, confidence, and the drive to succeed. We appreciate the support from our school, parents, and the community this season. Go Warriors!”
