The 2022 CHS Warrior Golf team had a really good year. Despite several cancellations early on due to the wet and cold start to the spring, both the boys and girls team had a lot of success! Coach Martha Talent and her boys team hosted the boys Regional Tournament at Shiloh Ridge Athletic Club. They played well enough to qualify for the State Tournament held in Pontotoc, Mississippi.
The girls team won their Regional Tournament held at Iuka Country Club and moved on to play for a State Championship in Grenada, Mississippi at Hugh White State Park Golf Course. Both teams had strong showings in their respective state tournaments.
This year, the coaches are looking forward to a great year. “Our goal is to build on last year’s success,” said Head Coach Rob Scarbrough. “We’d love for both teams to qualify and make another run at a State Championship. With the experience we have coming back from last year’s teams, we are excited about the possibilities ahead of us for the 2023 golf season!”
