Varsity Boys Soccer

“Last year was probably one of my most exciting and fun years to coach high school soccer,” said Head Coach John Ward Grace. “Every team in our division (4A) was very talented and very tough opponents. Our team worked really hard with great senior leadership and made it to North Half where we got put out by North Pontotoc with a score of 2-1.”

“Every division and playoff game from last year was either a very close score, or went into extra time or penalty kicks,” said Coach Grace. “It was a very emotional season. I am extremely proud of how the boys came together and played as a team last year.”

The team lost a lot of starters from last year, so this year’s team has some big shoes to fill. “I am excited to see what this season has in store for us. This year’s team has five seniors and a lot of younger guys that are ready to step up and put in the work that it takes to succeed,” said Coach Grace. “I believe in each and every guy on the team and am ready for the season to get started. If something stands in the way of your success, do what it takes to move it!”
