We are launching the first-ever Corinth School District Specialty License Plate, and we need 300 pre-paid applications to get started!
Why it matters: All license plate proceeds go directly to fund innovative classroom experiences and teacher appreciation events for Corinth teachers and students!
Three Simple Steps:
COMPLETE: Fill out the paper application and turn in at any of the three Corinth schools.
PAY: Submit your $33 specialty fee via Venmo, PayPal, ApplePay, Exact Cash (change not available) or Check (payable to the CSD Foundation).
DRIVE: Once we sell 300 tags, the MS Department of Revenue will take 3-4 months to complete the plate. We’ll let you know when it’s ready for pickup at your local county tax collector’s office.

Can I request a special number or letters for the CSD license plate?
No, a special number or letter requests are not allowed per Mississippi Department of Revenue.
How much money does the Corinth School District Foundation receive from the sale of the tags?
The CSDF will receive $24 for each car tag sold. Over $7,000 will be given annually to the CSDF to support Corinth teacher and students through innovative classroom experiences and appreciation events.
When do I need to complete my application?
The application deadline is October 1, 2026.
What name and address do I need to put on the application?
Please put the name and addressed listed on your car title.
When will I get my tag?
After 300 tags are pre-sold, the MS Department of Revenue will begin production on the tag which will take 3-4 months.
What if I don’t live in Alcorn County? Can I still purchase a tag?
Yes, you can live in any county in the state of Mississippi and purchase a Corinth School District specialty tag.
How soon after the license plates are available before I must go to the county office and pick up the license plate?
The vehicle owner has up to 60 days to pick up the plate after the DOR has informed the school district that the license plates are available in the tax collector’s county office. Vehicle owners who wait beyond the 60 days are required to pay the special fees again.
What if I just renewed my car tag?
If it is not renewal time for the applicants who purchased the pre-ordered plate, each applicant will pay an additional $10 fee. If it is renewal time, no additional tag fee will be charged.
After I have prepaid for a special tag, and I trade vehicles, can I put that tag on my new vehicle?
Yes. The county will allow you to transfer a specialty plate to another vehicle.
Will the vehicle owner be required to turn in the license plate which is currently on their vehicle in order to pick up the new license plate?
Yes, the vehicle owner is required to bring in the old license plate in order to receive the new specialty plate.
What if a vehicle owner purchased one of the license plates while living in one county but has since moved to another county? How will they be able to register their license plate in their new county?
The vehicle owner should either go into the new county office and have the clerk call the other county office to forward the license plate, or they may contact the DOR to have the county forward the tag to the correct county office.
What happens if a vehicle owner changes his/her mind and is no longer interested in having the specialty license plate?
Once payment has been submitted, a refund cannot be provided.
Will refunds be provided if the school district doesn't reach 300 tags sold?
If the school district fails to sell 300 tags, refunds will be provided.
Is the specialty license plate fee a tax-deductible donation?
No. The vehicle owner is receiving an item in return for the fee, so the fee is not tax-deductible.
